Internet-bob -- Bridgestone Owner's Bunch

About Internet-bob
English (USA)

The Internet-BOB list started as a spinoff of the Bridgestone Owner's Bunch, a club for owners of Bridgestone Bicycles. Bridgestone hasn't made bicycles for almost a decade now, but this list continues as a place for people who liked the Bridgestone philosophy to hang out.

Popular topics of conversation on this list are the classic Japanese and American bicycles of the 80s, lugged steel frames, practical cycling and bicycle design (fenders, racks, lighting, etc), brevet riding, racing, touring, commuting, and mountain biking.

This is not the list to join if you want to talk about the latest in Aluminum racing frames, full suspension mountain bikes, or low spoke count wheels.

Here are the official rules for posting to this list:
On-topic is anything which has to do with bicycles (preferably BOBish bicycles). Adding a random little comment to make your message seem like it is bicycle related is cute, but doesn't make your message on topic.

Off-topic is anything which doesn't have to do with bicycles.

The off-topic rule is this:
* You may _occasionally_ post an off topic query. You must ask for all responses to be off list. The subject must start with OT:. You may choose to include a location to a forum or blog or other mailing list where responses can go.
* All responses to off topic queries must be sent off of the list.
* If the query had a lot of interest then you can collect the responses and send a one time summary back to the list. All responses to this summary must go off list.

Inflammatory personal comments are not tolerated and may not be posted to this list.
