Welcome to the bikelist.org wiki. This community-maintained website is here to provide information to users of bikelist.org. You'll find out how to join the lists, our growing FAQ, and some information about list members.
Bikelist.org is a non-commercial system which hosts bicycle-related mailing lists. It was started in 1999 by AlexWetmore to provide a new home for the TouringList. It has grown as other important lists have needed new homes and as community members have made lists.
As the name implies bikelist.org primarily hosts bicycle related mailing lists. You can see a full list of the lists on our MailingLists page. The most popular lists are the TouringList, InternetBobList, RivendellBicycleWorksList, FramebuildersList and ClassicRendezvousList.
Search.bikelist.org provides searchable archives for all of the bike lists at bikelist.org as well as some other popular mailing lists. The searchable archives are a great resource and have over half a million individual messages. The search engine makes it easy to find individual messages on almost any bicycle-related topic.
The FAQ contains frequently asked questions on the lists and about bikelist.org and the related host phred.org.
